The botanical specimens on this tea towel come from an 18th-century herbarium made using nature printing — actual plants pressed directly onto paper to capture their form, circa 1733. Each illustration was restored and set against a weave-pattern background reproduced from 19th-century French textile samples from the historic Robert Maison company.
